National IT Administrator

Job Description

A fantastic opportunity is available for a highly motivated and experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our team as National IT Administrator.

Reporting to the COO this role will be responsible for the design, implementation, management, maintenance, troubleshooting and support of google apps system, storage, data center, and cloud environments.  

The role will be responsible for the effective management of the IT Infrastructure environment including storage + network platforms, backups, monitoring, associated hardware, and cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide first point of contact for all staff enquiries and requests and to log, resolve, track and/or escalate staff problems
  • Follow up users enquiries (telephone and in person) using an appropriate method of communication to facilitate prompt query resolution and good customer service
  • Work with and assist to manage external IT vendors
  • Prepare and maintain system documentation
  • Manage new starter/leaver IT onboarding processes
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
  • Provide general office administrative support to the team, including but not limited to, the ordering of computers, software and other IT supplies.Manage small to medium scale ICT projects
  • Assist with annual IT budgets
  • Monitor the health of the IT environment

Key requirements

  • 1-3 years’ experience in an IT support role
  • Completion of a degree or diploma course in a related discipline
  • Experience working with GSuite and Office 365
  • Able to demonstrate a broad knowledge of application software including Office 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Experience working with Apple Hardware, MAC OS and Windows 10
  • Active Directory
  • VMWare and Veeam
  • Experience in supporting desktops, laptops, smart devices and printers
  • Experience working with ITSM tools
  • Knowledge of SOE principles and concepts
  • Understanding of Networking (DHCP, routing, proxies and firewalls etc).
  • An understanding of wireless technology
  • An understanding of VOIP based telephony
