REPUTATION MANAGEMENT, ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

Bastion Reputation Management is looking for an exceptional, emerging corporate communications professional to join its growing team as Account Executive.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, intuition, and interest in the world around. The role will have a strong focus on working closely with our Senior Account Managers and Senior Consultants to guide and support our client work.

The ability to manage competing deadlines and client priorities is essential while performing well under pressure and contributing positively to RM's culture.

We have a strong values-led approach and believe our philosophy drives our work, our relationships with clients, and our respect for each other.

Specific expectations:

Client strategy: Understand the proposed approach for an RM client. Be confident to challenge and question this based on own insights.

Client service: Supports team to build a trusted relationship with the client and can ‘step up’ into client facing roles (in meetings/F2F).

Quality output: Edit and understand how to produce key materials, provide key insights to inform client strategy. Exemplary writing skills and research skills. Able to structure and articulate thinking and contribute to draft materials.

Team and process: Be able to manage own workflow and time and seek assistance and support to manage capacity where required. Work with senior members of staff to ensure work and processes are efficient

Business strategy and innovation: Understand and support business strategy initiatives. Provide ideas on product development or client services

New business development: Identify key media trends, contributes to creative brainstorms and supports the development of proposals and strategy materials for clients.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A communications, business, public relations, journalism, policy or equivalent qualification (highly regarded but not a prerequisite)
  • Experience working in both agency and in-house roles is highly regarded. As is hands-on experience working on large scale and complex operational issues and crisis that have had reputational impacts.

BASTION EBA - SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER, STRATEGY

Are you an experienced and analytical strategist? Are you passionate about world class sponsorship and brand strategy? Are you commercially minded and always ask yourself the why? Do you love working in a fast paced, dynamic & collaborative environment?

Bastion EBA is looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our Strategy team in Melbourne.

Our ideal candidate is a driven, ambitious and pragmatic individual who uses data and strategic thinking to problem solve at any given opportunity.

We’re looking for someone who is at home working with some of the leading brands and rights holders within the Australian marketplace to assist them in developing new and innovative ways to connect with their audience and generate revenue. Whether that be through sponsorship, events, stadium economics or broadcast, our ideal candidate will work with our clients to help them think about what’s possible, not necessarily what’s been done before.

You work hard, love to have fun and are passionate about the role of emotional marketing and sponsorship within the marketing mix.

You are interested in working with brands end-to-end, from formulating the strategy to negotiating the rights and overseeing the leverage campaign.

You have experience leading project teams and enjoy developing others.

Reporting to and working directly with the Account Director, with a dotted line to the Head of Strategy, you will demonstrate high level strategic, analytical and creative thinking to ensure every piece of work is better than the last.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Always asks the why? Why sponsorship? Why that partnership? Why invest in that asset? Why activate that way? Why not do it differently?
  • Have experience as a project manager who is timely and able to manage relations with multiple stakeholders, internally and externally
  • Possess a broad understanding of each element within the marketing mix and the role each plays when delivering integrated campaigns
  • Understand Australia’s sponsorship landscape; in particular sport, arts & culture, lifestyle, music & entertainment categories
  • Quickly gain a strong understanding of client’s objectives, industry and business •    Have experience with brand leverage activation strategies, both physical and digital
  • Have an interest in the role digital will play in the future of sponsorship
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to relay concepts, ideas and feedback in a manner that is persuasive and embraced by others

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and deliver strategy projects for both brands and rights holders, whilst guiding the Account Managers and Account Executives in the Strategy team
  • Manage junior staff including review of work, general support and providing feedback and guidance
  • Contribute to the agency’s financial performance by identifying existing client growth opportunities and new business opportunities
  • Work across the wider Bastion Collective, to seek input and advice from group services and other agencies to ensure clients are receiving the best strategy from the entire Bastion Collective offering
  • Foster a strong team environment and work ethic by sharing your approach and expertise
  • Act as a positive role model within the business and visibly embrace our culture

 

BASTION EBA - SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER

Are you an organised and driven person? Do you have great attention to detail and enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic & collaborative environment? Are you passionate about world class events, sponsorships and experiences?

Bastion EBA is looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our team in Melbourne.

Our ideal candidate is a driven, ambitious and personable individual who can build strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders and is above all solutions focused at all times.


We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working both agency and client side, being the senior account lead continuing to strengthen the relationship with one of Bastion EBA’s biggest retained clients. The role covers a range of deliverables, with a focus on strategic planning and execution of B2B facing events and conferences, delivery of owned events, regional management of a major global sponsorship and ongoing strategic review of inbound sponsorship proposals. We’re looking for someone with experience working both agency and brand side and ideally experience working for brands within the financial services industry, from a marketing and/or sponsorship perspective.  

You work hard, love to have fun and are passionate about the role of emotional marketing and sponsorship within the marketing mix.

You are interested in working with a brand with a number sub-brands and internal stakeholders and driving the annual calendar of events and deliverables for one client.

You have experience leading project teams and enjoy developing others.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have both sponsorship and events experience
  • The capability to review sponsorship proposals and recommend strategic opportunities for the client on an ongoing basis
  • Excellent time management skills
  • The ability to work autonomously, with the support of the broader account team
  • Always be looking at new opportunities and trends to grow existing clients
  • Have experience as a project manager who is timely and able to manage relations with multiple stakeholders, internally and externally
